The refuge

The refuge du Clot is located in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park. Please respect the regulations in force to preserve this natural area.

DESCRIPTION

At the confluence of two beautiful Pyrenean valleys, the Vallée de Gaube, classified as a Grand Site de Midi-Pyrénées, and the Vallée du Marcadau, and in the heart of the Pyrenean National Park, the Refuge du Clot welcomes you, summer and winter alike, for a unique mountain experience.

It's not unusual to see isards passing in front of the refuge; marmots live on the slopes of the Plateau du Clot and birds of prey regularly fly over the ridges above the refuge. The Clot site was chosen for the first reintroduction of the Iberian ibex in 2015.

The refuge is at the heart of the Pont d'Espagne cross-country ski resort and next to the luge and beginner downhill ski runs.
A stopover on the GR10 between the Ilhéou refuge and the Baysselance refuge, the refuge welcomes you for your stay in collective dormitories.

The bar and terrace are open all day.

In the evening, a hot meal is served in the refuge. Reservations required.

An off-bag room equipped with a water point and microwave is available for hikers to eat their provisions. Thank you for respecting this space.
